What are wide presses?

Wide presses are special machines used to manufacture perforated sheets. The material is fed into the machine from the coil and perforated in a simultaneous lifting and feeding motion. Depending on the equipment and configuration of the machine, the perforated sheets can be rewound into a coil or stacked as sheets.

At SCHÄFER Perforated Metal, we can offer you both options.

Wide pressing in detail

At SCHÄFER Perforated Metal, we also use wide pressing technology and perforate different materials depending on customer requirements. This means that we are able to perforate materials up to a width of 1,500 mm. In addition, we can create different hole patterns by using the appropriate tools.

Special straightening machines can be used to improve flatness. Ideally, these can be integrated in series into a complete system to compensate for the stresses caused by the punching process. This is a decisive advantage for further processing.
